A New Beginning

The start of a new year is an intriguing event. We are either excited, apathetic, or disappointed with last year’s conclusion.

It’s interesting, when asked, people tell me they got what they thought they would. It’s like they created a self-fulling prophecy. So, does our brain take us where we tell it to go? Many studies say it does.

Have you heard anyone say, “I usually get the flu this time every year” or “I think I’m getting a cold.” And, sure enough, they get it. Or ‘I guess I’m not strong enough or smart enough to get what I want.” And, they don’t.

Self-talk develops a vision, which creates an unconscious path for us to follow. We choose a goal, but when we speak negatively about progress, we slip off track and relinquish our commitment. Disappointment settles in and we give up. Our dreams, hopes, and desires vanish.

The key to staying on the path is to protect our confidence. Embracing every step of success allows us to maintain focus. Acknowledging failure should only be a short notice to change course in direction.

The gurus tell us to write down our goals. Be specific. Visualize. Use positive statements as we step toward the finishing line. The performance must be intentional, success doesn’t happen by accident.

Our best life starts with dreams. They are driven by our value system, which is our core, or the things most important to us. Whether it’s family, comfort, security, freedom, wealth, accomplishment, health, adventure, or any principle that makes us who we are. It’s what gives us energy.

This applies to every desire; a house, car, job, spouse, or whatever. Dream it, visualize it, create a path, and go into action.

We hope a new home is on your list of dreams. If so, we have a process that is tried and proven to keep you on track. Five steps to success. It’ll maximize your dollars, save you valuable time, and give you peace of mind knowing you are doing the right thing at the right time.

Great agents are consultants. They focus on your needs by listening, communicating properly, and articulating a clear path to follow.
